Seed funding is a project funding that Swedish actors can apply for within the framework of the Baltic Sea cooperation scheme. This type of funding is designed to create and develop new project partnerships that encourage economically, environmentally and socially sustainable and, by extension, deeper integration in the region.

The project activities must be clearly linked to a Baltic Sea Regional context. The projects are required to tackle a common challenge identified in one or other of the following: the EU’s Eastern Partnership, the EU Strategy for the Baltic Region, and/or the HELCOM Baltic Sea Action Plan (BSAP). The application period for 2016 ends on 14 April 2016.

Please note that only partners from Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, and in some cases in Moldova and Georgia can be funded. Partners from Denmark, Germany, Finland, Norway and Iceland are welcome to participate in the projects without funding.
