The funding for this call from the Swedish Institute aims to promote economically, environmentally and socially sustainable growth in the Baltic Sea Region and contribute to greater integration.

The idea for this call is to broaden and deepen relations and cooperation between the countries in the region, based on EU cooperation in general and on the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region in particular. The support focuses on the inclusion of non-EU countries in the region in current EU partnerships.

The EU Strategy and Action Plan for the Baltic Sea Region calls for the challenges in the region to be addressed through transboundary and cross sectoral cooperation. In addition, it is important to involve relevant decision-making levels from the intergovernmental down to the local level.

The application period is 15 April – 30 September 2016.  A decision is usually announced at the latest two months after the application has been submitted. More information if you click here.
