SI Baltic Sea Sessions is a digital initiative in which we explore results and lessons learnt through projects funded by the Swedish Institute in the Baltic Sea region. The Swedish Institute plans to arrange four sessions yearly on various topics linked to the development of the Baltic Sea region. Each session deals with a specific topic and showcases projects and initiatives that have contributed to progress and sustainability of the region. Projects or activities that are presented can involve all SI’s 15 programme countries i.e. countries around the Baltic Sea and countries of the EU Eastern Partnership. During each session we will also open for reflections, dialogue and hopefully future connections.

This thematic session in the SI Baltic Sea Sessions calls together actors interested in energy efficiency.

  • We start with an overview of the energy transition needed to achieve climate goals. The focus will be on energy efficiency in a larger context.
  • Partnerships of projects funded by the Swedish Institute will tell about their work and results.
  • We find out more about how national plans and international agreements can serve as a common ground for developing future projects in structed processes.
  • Participants will be invited to reflect in groups and to meet others interested in furthering energy efficiency in the Baltic Sea region in various sectors.
