Putting best agricultural practices into work – the Baltic Deal

The project created a co-operative platform between farmers' organisations and advisory organisations around the Baltic Sea to raise the competence concerning agri-environmental practices and measures to reduce nutrient inputs into the Baltic Sea. It developed a common strategy for the Baltic Sea region to strengthen agricultural advisory services. A network of 117 demonstration farms was established and more than 90 study tours and workshops were performed on the demonstration farms with over 5000 participants, 2500 of whom were farmers.
